Escaping The Developer Rut

It's all too easy to feel like you're stuck in a rut as a developer and as Ellen Glasgow once said "The only difference between a rut and a grave are the dimensions".
In this talk we will explore how to escape the feeling you're stuck in a development rut without changing jobs or roles; and have fun doing so.

In this talk, we’ll take a closer look at the limitations of these tools—such as their reliance on averages for energy usage, lack of context about server efficiency, and ignoring how users actually interact with sites. We’ll explore practical alternatives and ways of reducing your website's carbon footprint.
